Beowulf Sheehan is a New-York based photographer of figures in the arts and humanities. To date, he's photographed better than 1,000 writers from more than 60 countries.  AUTHOR: The Portraits of Beowulf Sheehan, a collection of portraits of 200 writers from 35 countries with a foreword by Salman Rushdie, was published in 2018. THE AUTHOR PHOTO: Portrait Photographer Beowulf Sheehan on a Life Capturing Writers, a short film by Claire Ince and Ancil McKain, was an official selection of the 2020 Venice Institute of Contemporary Art Fine Arts Film Festival and the 2020 On Art Film Festival. His interview with Professional Photographer Magazine was published in January 2023. Beowulf Sheehan is the proud son of an immigrant and translator, grandson of a poet and photographer, and great-great-nephew of an author.
